Nikola Tesla

I would have to say that Tesla is probably one of my favorite inventors. He had an amazing scientific and mathmatical mind, 

but was misunderstood most of his life. And despite his best efforts he was never able to get on top. He was always the underdog, 

yet he made amazing strides in science especially relating to electricity. He was also instrumental in bringing the United States 

up to date technologically compared to Europe in his time.
